Singing is good for the soul and science has been hard at work trying to explain why it has such a calming yet energizing effect on people. What researchers are beginning to discover is that singing is like an infusion of the perfect tranquilliser, the kind that both soothes your nerves and elevates your spirits. Research has now shown that it is good for mental health and reduces heart disease. More generally, chorus members exhibit greater civic leadership than their fellow citizens. They are significantly more likely to vote regularly, read books and newspapers regularly, (Chorus Impact Study; Chorus America 2009). So what better way to build your staff confidence and teamwork than getting them to sing together in harmony!
VoxFusioN offers a 1 day teambuilding exercise which transforms your team into a close harmony choir ready to perform 2 beautiful songs to their work colleagues or for a local charity.
If you have 10 or more staff who really love their music or more why not enter the RTE Lyric FM’s Workplace Choir of the Year? VoxFusion will coach your choir making it competition ready.
The beauty of Voxfusion – apart from the talented singers who make up the group – is its diversity. Just before Christmas I attended a concert with a difference – Symphonic Dance – headlined by Voxfusion – in which the singers belted out the vocals for some familiar electronic dance tunes with instrumental backing from a real live orchestra – and it was class! (think Ride on Time, Rhythm is a dancer, Everybody’s Free along the lines of Jenny Green/RTE Concert Orchestra). Then at a wedding recently Voxfusion again did the honours, this time performing much loved hit classics and love songs from the 80s and 90s both as an ensemble and with solo turns, showcasing a full vocal range right through from soprano to bass. We especially loved Shake it up – can’t wait to see high-energy Voxfusion again. ~ Joan Geraghty
Recently I attended a concert in the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar performed by Voxfusion. What a great night’s entertainment!! The group performed a very varied range of songs with some great solo performances. They even did a great costume change for the second half in keeping with the theme of the music. All in all a great night.
My wife and I were delighted to have the opportunity recently to attend, for our second time, a concert by Voxfusion. We have different musical interests but, once again, we were both delighted and entertained by the wide variety of music. I could see the Sophisticats enjoyed showcasing their talents while accompanying the many musical genres. The singing was driven, enthusiastic and harmonious. Lead singers impressed us with their distinctive vocal solos. Kathy, the director, only had to sit back amongst the Sophisticats and wave her hand vaguely at times, as she had drilled the singers to perform flawlessly and independently. The audience warmed to the performance, and were on their feet with a standing ovation at the end. ~ Gerry Ryder
I recently attended a Vox Fusion concert in Castlebar. It was an excellent performance by quality singers. The solos were particularly good and the overall performance was coplimented by the amazing band, The Sophisticats. Looking forward to the next concert. ~ John Forde
Went to a Voxfusion gig with my wife and two daughters and we had an absolutely great time. Wonderful array of talent with a fantastic, eclectic setlist. Great atmosphere generated by this great vocal group. ~ Brendan in Partry, Co. Mayo
I have been at a number of events and concerts at which Voxfusion have sang in the past 12 mths. I have to say one event was just better than the next. Most enjoyable mix of music genre’s with wonderful soloists and the most amazing harmonies. One of the concerts was a New Year’s eve event which was Speakeasy 1920’s themed. The music was just outstanding at this and the presentation from the group dress wise for the theme really made us feel like we were right back in the roaring 20’s. In recent times I was at another one of your concerts and I have to say I just loved the ‘wedding song’ section!! The harmonies and blending of the voices in some of those songs was nothing short of stunning. It was so lovely in fact that I said to my partner that I had the music and the venue sorted for the wedding and all he had to do now was propose! So looking forward to your next event.
I had heard great reviews about the music group Voxfusion from the west of Ireland. I was at their concert recently and enjoyed every minute of it. A very vibrant, lively, ‘pleasing to the ears’ group of good looking singers. The concert started off with beautiful slow numbers suitable for wedding ceremonies, celebratory functions, etc followed by highly entertaining , ‘get on your feet’ kind of party music. They performed a varied repertoire of songs to suit different tastes/occassions. ~ Sophia Menezes
